When it all began
Few still today can remember what Via San Sebastiano, now Via Martiri della Libertà, was like, without the majestic stone wall and the imposing silhouette of "La Piccola Rocca". Passing by this property suggests that it has always occupied that place. "La Piccola Rocca" has become an integral part of Cetona's identity since the early 1960s, its impact on the street and the surrounding community is so profound that it seems it has always been there.
The story of a long journey
In the 1960s, an established Roman engineer decided to make his dream come true: to build a luxury villa in the fantastic village of Cetona, the destination of his youthful holidays. Fascinated by the beauty of the area and fond of the place, he wanted to create a residence that blended elegance and architectural innovation, building what would become one of the most iconic properties in the area.
Located a few steps from the central square of Cetona, it was completed in 1964, the villa stood out for its particular architecture and fine materials, the use of local stone for the entire structure not only enhanced its solidity and harmony with the environment but also gave it an aura of tradition. the choice of design was aimed at guaranteeing maximum ventilation and brightness at any time of the day, creating a harmonious and welcoming space. The large windows in the large open space lounge, unusual for the time, guaranteed a breathtaking view of the surrounding greenery. Inside the park, a large swimming pool, a children's play area, a picturesque doll's house and even a go-kart track were built.
The park of the villa was an explosion of greenery, enriched by woods and olive trees, walking among the trees or diving into the swimming pool made one easily forget the proximity of the town square, creating an oasis of tranquility and relaxation. Thanks to its shape and the materials used, it earned the affectionate nickname of "La Piccola Rocca".
During the golden years of Cetona, the 70s and 80s, the villa became a meeting and entertainment place for several generations, with games, pool parties and evenings, unforgettable moments for all those who had the opportunity to cross its threshold in that time.
The Piccola Rocca continues to be maintained with dedication and attention, its imposing profile, together with the surrounding wall, have now become an integral part of the landscape of Cetona. A timeless icon that continues to tell its story and that of those who were part of it.
Even today, those who pass by the wall of this villa cannot help but let their imagination fly...

60 years and not feeling it
Absolutely yes! Like good wine that improves over the years, "La Piccola Rocca" has acquired even more charm, prestige and value with the passage of time. A beautiful immature garden has been transformed into an elegant park with green carpets, olive trees, pines, firs and many other tall trees.
